Mike
Corcoran
Mike
grew up in the Midwest where he worked for the U. S. Postal Service; he retired
after 34 years of service with USPS. After moving to the Pacific
Northwest in 2002, Mike and his wife sailed to Alaska and lived there for a
year. He currently has a studio in Sumner, WA where he is pleased to have
the opportunity to study with some of the finest artists and instructors in the
U. S. Continuing study at the Gage Academy Seattle and the Pratt Art
Center Seattle. Mike’s work has been displayed at the Tall Ships Art
Show, the Working Waterfront Maritime Museum, the Bronze Works 4 League Art
Show in Tacoma, Emerald Downs Equine Art Show the Northwinds Gallery Art Show
Port Townsend, Franke Toby Jones Juried Senior Art Show, Peninsula League of
Arts Open Juried Show and Western Washington State Fair. Five time winner in the Foss Maritime calendar competion.
Many
of Mike’s illustrations have been
selected and printed in magazines. His paintings are a part of many
private, corporate and government collections throughout the country.
Mike is an active member of the Peninsula Art League and the Rainier League of
Arts.
